SERVE Experience Internship

In partnership with Muskoka Bible Centre, Heritage is offering The Serve Experience Service Intensive. This unique one year missions-focused program combines the benefits of classroom time with that of practical experience and an emphasis on learning in the field. Each course will transfer into a degree at Heritage.

  • 1 semester in-class at Heritage.
  • 1 semester at Muskoka Bible Centre.
  • 6 credit courses.

The SERVE @ MBC experience has three objectives:

  • Preparation for Ministry: To prepare students for a life of service in God’s kingdom.
    • Interns will participate weekly in an engaging Bible study to challenge and deepen their faith in Christ. Interns will discover the importance of many aspects of ministry through their work at MBC.
  • Integration in Community: To integrate students into churches, communities and cohorts.
    • Interns will be integrated into the MBC community as they work, and integrated in the Huntsville community as they serve at a local youth group and participate in other service projects and Muskoka experiences (work with Junior Highs at Faith Baptist, help at The Table, rock climbing, snow shoeing, maple syrup farm & more). Also, interns will have opportunities to connect with local churches.
  • Education through Experience: To educate students in missions, Bible, life skills, work ethic, and practical matters.
    • Interns will learn numerous life skills as they work in three main departments at MBC: Maintenance, Housekeeping and Foodservice. Interns will have the chance to learn from a full time staff as a mentor, in a one-on-one mentoring role.
